Claremont to Bishopscourt
Cape Town has been recently named the no.1 holiday destination spot in the world and is the second most populous city in South Africa. It is also the legislative capital of South Africa where the National Parliament and many Government offices are located.
Today it is one of the most multicultural in the world. As of 2007 it had an estimated population of 3.5million. Cape Town's land area of 2,455 square kilometres is larger than other South African cities resulting in a lower population density of 1,425 inhabitants per square kilometre.
Cape Town is located on the shore of Table Bay, and Table Mountain is an internationally renowned landmark and forms Cape Town's backdrop. Cape Town is known to have fantastic weather with its beautiful hot summers and cold, wet and wild winters. This creates the perfect climate for the famous Cape wines and for unique Flora and Fauna, which can be viewed either by taking a stroll through the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or by hiking up Table Mountain itself, or even taking the breathtaking cable car trip to the top.
Bishopscourt Village is located between Bishopscourt and Fernwood. It is a small suburb consisting of approximately 200 houses and is highly sought after considering its location. The views of the back-side of Table Mountain are unprecedented. It is a quiet area centrally located for transport, Kirstenbosch Gardens, top schools, the City Bowl and the Southern Suburbs. Residential properties in Claremont are hard to come by as residents love the area and seldom come on the market, and when they do occasionally come up, their selling time is generally very fast.
Claremont Upper is a centrally located suburb in high demand because of the top schools in the area an its proximity to the city centre. The many attractions include Cavendish Square and the Newlands Cricket and Rugby stadiums. Claremont Upper properties are generally medium sized homes perfect for downscaling couples, young families or young working couples.
Kenilworth Upper borders Wynberg and Claremont and is one of the most loved, established and prestigious areas in the Southern Suburbs. It is situated on gentle hills near to the south-eastern slopes of Table Mountain. It is centrally located to excellent shopping facilities, including Cavendish Square, Constantia Village, upmarket medical facilities and top schools. Properties in Kenilworth are generally sought after because of the schools and it's central location and are usually larger, older homes with large gardens, perfect for families with school or UCT going children.
