Kleinemonde is situated half way between Port Elizabeth and East London. It is a tiny village with two rivers, the Lyndoch and Wellington, which are called the East and West Rivers. The beach is spectacular and one can walk as far as the Fish River Mouth on one side and to Riet River (The three Sisters) and Port Alfred on the other side.

Now it is a much bigger village with a restaurant, local grocery shop, Police station and bottle store. It also has a hall that is used for Morning Market as well as get- together's for the local community. A small inter-denominational church is being built at the moment.
The area is well renowned for its beautiful beaches, good fishing, boating and golf courses (Royal Port Alfred and The Fish River Sun) as well as the many game and pineapple farms. It is close to Bathurst and the famous "Big Pineapple" as well as smaller holiday villages like Birha and Mpekweni and Mgwalana.
It is small and neat and a relatively crime free area. As the locals say, "Kleinemonde is the best kept secret" So, come and have a peek!
