The T- shaped house, one of the few in the northern part of Main Street, has a square gable dated 1852 and late-straight end-gables with pseudo-pediments (ie a horizontal string-course dividing off a small triangle at the top). These properties form an integral part of the historical and architectural nucleus of Paarl. The houses on the plot are representative of the Cape Dutch, Georgian. Victorian and Edwardian style.
